Capt Dave: Learned to sail on a Sunfish sailboat in Arizona! Really learned to sail as crew for Kentucky Women racing out of Milltown WA including Swiftsure classic in 1998. At one time and at the same time, owned three sailboats all over 30'.

Swashbuckler (Geoff): Self taught with sailing, first boat 17' hobie cat. Grew up in michigan and now live on a 30' sailboat in seattle washington. background in architecture & construction, with a passion for tinkering & fixing stuff.

Ashley: Raised in landlocked leadville, colorado, ashley albright is terrified of open ocean sailing, but her array of backcountry experiences is well-suited to provisioning the voyage.

Jen: for most of her life she has enjoyed the comfort of dry land, but she is excited about the new challenge of the deep blue sea.

Jen plans to be excited an terrified in equal amounts.  There's no end of the personal learning she's about to experience.
